Our 100th Post (or) Celebrating A Milestone

Our 100th Post or Celebrating A Milestone

This is our obligatory recognition of the 100th time wifey and I have written a blog. About a week ago, wifey was the first to notice that we were closing in on this number. The news led me to one obvious conclusion…PARTY! Our celebration was simple yet satisfying as we enjoyed our respective favorite desserts in style. I collected 100 chocolate chips and obsessively rearranged them in the order seen above (I’ll do almost anything for a study break!).

When we first started HSSSblog.com, wifey and had a vision to celebrate the married life. Our attempts to accomplish this goal have waxed and waned over the past six months as we’ve transitioned from one direction to another. Our What? page has had to have changed more than a dozen times. I like the place we’re at now with our blogging but stick around and it may change again. The best part of the process has been the time we’ve spent. I highly recommend working together with your spouse on something tangible that you can look back upon with pride remembering the good and the bad. There are innumerable options. For us, it’s blogging. Thanks for reading, we truly appreciate your support.

When one sets off on a journey, milestones are a mandatory celebration. On June 1, 2009, The Mr. and I set off on a journey to share our married life and life in general with the world on our one year anniversary. We’ve enjoyed many “write nights” together and today we get to celebrate HSSSblog.com’s 100TH post! It’s not everyday I celebrate anything so hear it is…

I love being wifey. I am so blessed to have found the man of my dreams, but not just that, a man of God who wants so much from our marriage and life. I’m celebrating today that this little website is my voice to say that marriage can be successful at any stage. I love being a newlywed, I’m not naive to think everything will be picture perfect but I am smart enough to know that nothing worth fighting for comes easy. I’m a sucker for love, happiness, and hope. Finally, I can wait to eat our 100TH post desserts. I made Rice Krispies Treats. I’m sure a few high fives will be exchanged and a lame dance may break out in the kitchen.
Happy Monday, and thanks for the read!
