A Win Win or Embracing The Schedule
Friday, January 8th, 2010
I’m all about healthy living so I sometimes do what’s good for me even if I don’t enjoy it. For example, my new habit is that anytime I’m in the mood for ice cream I grab of dish of high protein low sodium cottage cheese and enjoy my self-proclaimed dessert (at least it’s cold like ice cream). On the other hand, I also sometimes do things I know aren’t the healthiest i.e. the delicious peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies made by wifey that I had last night for my late night snack. It’s best for things to be healthy and enjoyable. I call it a win win. The below video is an example. I saw this yesterday and thought it’d be good to share.
A schedule once seemed like a stale tool i.e. 6 am wake up, brush teeth, eat, workout, blah, blah, blah. Instead, they can be exciting and anticipated, with every simple detail left unrecorded my calendar is open and ready to have exciting things penciled in. To explain, being a busy student, mom, etc. can leave things like intimacy and quality time dangling for a spare moment that might not come. I have found that adding The Mr. to my calendar/Marriage Log isn’t impersonal but proactive. I look forward to adding time or dates we enjoy into my iPhone. I even jazz up the events with spicy names and descriptions. The next upcoming event is date night on Saturday. We’re both looking forward to it and I can’t wait for the reminder alarm.
In other events, I have to pat myself on the back for eight straight days of blogging in 2010! I really enjoy sharing my moments as a wife and life in general. I hope you’ve enjoyed a few of my/our entries. Thanks for the read. Ciao
P.S. Be sure to check out The Mr.’s post for today!
