2009 is gone and I’m on to the next one. Sometimes I just have to be honest with myself and while 2009 was a good year overall, at times I felt I was walking instead of running. Good thing I got a new plan for 2010. I’ve spent the past week setting myself like a sprinter in the starting block. My warm-ups are complete and all systems are a go. My feet are securely planted, my hands are prepared for launch, and the sound of “Happy New Year” is the pistol that commences my sprint.
I don’t know exactly where 2010 will take me, but I’m eager to find out. I hope you feel the same way. A few minutes ago I went through the typical but oh so necessary year end countdown with some friends that ended with a kiss from my incredible wife. It’s been rewarding to chronicle aspects of marriage during the past six months on HSSSblog.com. The direction of He Said She Said blog will be shared in the upcoming days/weeks/months. We invite you to add your perspective and influence us as we strive to prove positive marriages do exist.

It’s a new year and I must say that even years are my favorite. There is no resolution for my 2010 and I’ve noticed many people have strayed from this trend. In any case, I have made the decision to be a better version of me this year. This goal encompasses my spiritual, mental, and physical self. I want to be a better wife, mother, friend, student, volunteer, etc.
Along with a goal for a better me I envision a better HSSSblog. Amongst all the chaos of the year of transgression and divorce that filled 2009 pop culture I saw a glimmer of hope. I saw the need for a blog such as this to share with the world what a successful marriage in training looks like. I see the need for a woman like me to share the many highs and inevitable lows that are a part of marriage and life. This blog for me is becoming my testimony of “life as a wife”. I’ll be sharing my journey through the year and hope you come along. I’ll be writing…will you be reading?? Only the future will tell.
Truly,
B
I’ll be reading Brittany and Pierce. Keep up the good work! It’s very necessary!
