Thanksgiving List (or) Grateful For Blessings

Thanksgiving List or Grateful For Blessings

One of my favorite parts of grade school were the holiday activities. For example, every Thanksgiving I remember using multi-colored construction paper to make a turkey (isn’t the above picture a great example?). After finishing our art project, we would make a list of all the things we were thankful for. I’ve realized that since grade school I have never taken the time to actually write down my many blessings.

This year, I’m determined to make a Thanksgiving list. Thinking ahead, I know my list will include some of the most basic things in life since I know not every person in the world has access to the same things I do. My list will also include my family. Not only do I have the best wife I could ever imagine, I also have the best family.

My Thanksgiving plans involve helping wifey in the kitchen, eating my mother-in-law’s fantastic cooking, watching my football team (the Green Bay Packers), playing the greatest card ever (Spades), and the most importantly - spending time with family.

My life, husband, daughter, family, friends, education, future, and so much more. It’s the time of year to share the blessing we are thankful for. I want to share with you how truly grateful I am for all of my blessings. God is good all the time and this year He has allowed us to flourish in our marriage, family, and education. I am thankful to be born in this day and age where so much is possible. I am thankful for this website that showcases successful marriage can happen at any stage. I am thankful that He guides me to live a purposeful life.

I am excited to make a 5 Cheese Macaroni. I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves, putting on my apron, and getting it right. I’m trying out a new recipe and hope it’s a hit. I hope all your cooking endeavors tomorrow turn out delicious.

On a serious note, I pray for all those around the world to one day have the basic necessity of food. Not just on Thanksgiving Day but everyday. I pray that you enjoy your family and those you hold dear. I pray that our time with family will be full of laughter and joy. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
