The Best Husband Tampon Shopper Ever (or) It’s That Time Again

The Best Husband Tampon Shopper Ever or It's That Time Again

Going to the store to buy your wife tampons is always an adventure. I’ve gotten accustomed to it, but I still get flustered. I’m not embarrassed to buy my wife tampons, but the last thing I want to do is screw up. Sometime soon I’ll share the story of the first time I went to go buy tampons (it was a disaster!). Currently, I’m developing a top secret plan for tampon shopping (I realize the irony of having a top secret plan and then posting it on the web, but wifey promised not to read it). Next time I go to the store, I want to buy and absurd amount of tampons in bulk (jumbo packs) and store them in a strategically located place where only I can find them. I’ve already saved the latest regular sized empty tampon box, so each time I get called for duty I’ll quickly fill up the box and become best husband tampon shopper ever!

On a regular day an empty box is no big deal. After 28 days of normalness a certain empty box is just down right tragic! Thankfully, this is when having a husband is the best thing ever. Pierce is such a trooper for hitting up Tampon Lane at the store whenever an empty box befalls me. It’s not a big deal to him and I totally appreciate it. I wonder sometimes from his vantage point what it’s like to periodically live with a crazy and irritable woman. Actually, I’m not that bad…I’ve learned staying on my daily workout plan makes things a lot more peaceful. Ha, I guess it is possible to “have a happy period.”-Always. In short, to all the husbands out there who peruse the feminine aisle for wifey, you’re the best.

Come on!

It's fun. And free.

My husband is willing to do this for me, too, which makes sense because he does the grocery shopping. Now we have two menstruating daughters in the house, too, so sometimes he bellies up to the grocery store conveyer belt with three boxes at once AND an armload of chocolate. And yes I am (we all are) very very grateful.

Pierce, you have just been nominated as “A REAL MAN”. Buying tampons, is one of the responsiblities of being a “Real Man”. You have been awarded 5,000 cool points!! Keep up the good work!
